Professor of Sociology and Public Affairs at Princeton University; faculty associate of the Office of Population Research; founder and director of the Bendheim-Thoman Center for Research on Child Wellbeing. Interests:  Child development, child wellbeing, parenting, education, poverty, and family and community influences on the development of young children. Editor-in-Chief of The Future of Children and PI on the "Fragile Families Study."

Miguel Centeno
Ph.D. 1990, Yale University, Sociology. Professor of Sociology and Public Affairs and Director of Princeton Institute for International and Regional Studies, Princeton University.
Research Interests:  Social change, historical sociology, sociology of war, and contemporary Latin America.

Katherine Newman
Ph.D 1979 University of California, Anthropology. Professor of Sociology and Public Affairs, Princeton University.
Research Interests:  Qualitative study of social stratification, with a special emphasis on the cultural meaning of mobility, work, poverty, and violence.

Christina Paxson
Ph.D. 1987 Columbia University, Economics. Professor of Economics and Public Affairs; Director of the Center for Health and WellBeing, Princeton University. PI Parental Resources and Child Wellbeing and Economic Status, Public Policy and Child Neglect; Senior Editor Future of Children.
Research Interests:  Applied economics, health, and development economics.

Cecilia Rouse
Ph.D. 1992 Harvard University, Economics. Professor of Economics and Public Affairs, Director of the Education Research Section, Princeton University.
Research Interests:  Labor economics with a particular focus on the economics of education.

Marta Tienda
Ph.D. 1977 University of Texas, Sociology. Professor of Sociology, Demographic Studies, and Public Affairs, Princeton University.
Research Interests:  Population and development, youth employment and labor market dynamics, race and ethnic stratification, access to higher education.
